It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dearest Ruth. She is survived by her husband of 41 years Warren Wong; sisters Inez Kettles (Johannes Hill), Helen Hoult, Lorna Kettles and Marion Kettles (Robert Proulx); mother-in-law Vivian Wong; brother-in-law Michael Wong (Cecile Vu); nieces and nephews Peter Hill (Kelly), Tom Hill (Erica Shadford), Matthew Hoult, Andrew Hoult, Jim Rippon (Misty), Eric Proulx, Emily Proulx, Nick Wong (Kim Kwo), Timothy Wong (Lain Kienzle) and Elise Wong; great nieces and nephews Ethan Hill, Owen Hill, Lucy Hill, Cohen Rippon and Amelia Rippon; and many first cousins.

For their compassionate and gentle end-of-life care, the family wishes to thank Ruth’s family doctor, Dr. Christiane Kuntz, and her team; Candace Harris, Care Coordinator and the Palliative Care Team with Home and Community Care Support Services Champlain; the two paramedics with Ottawa Paramedic Service who transported Ruth from home to Elisabeth Bruyere Hospital; and the doctors, nurses and other staff and volunteers with the Bruyere Palliative Care Unit.

In keeping with Ruth’s wishes a private family memorial will be held. A special thanks to her sister, Lorna, for donating one of her kidneys giving Ruth an extra thirteen years.
